Argh. Why can I not have a female friend without people asking me when I’m going to stop flirting with them? Not only are they using the complete wrong word for their intentions because, in essence, I am flirting with them -
Flirt
-verb (used without object)
to court triflingly or act amorously without serious intentions; play at love; coquet.
but what they fail to grasp is the part about without serious intentions. I mean, come on, why would I want to spoil the relationships of others? What they’re talking about is courting. Pay attention in biology. Essentially courting is the act of flirting plus the intention of marrying. Which, reinforcing my earlier statement, is the complete opposite of what I want. If one of my friends has found someone who makes them happy and they return that affection, then I don’t see why I should change the way I act around them, be it the girl or the guy, unless I am driving them apart. If two people who claim to want to spend time together and announce themselves as boyfriend and girlfriend split up just because of a couple of sex jokes that I may make at their expense have, in my mind, moved along way too quickly and need to seriously address their relationship.
Rant done, I should probably tell you that the good bit at the end of my day was the immense amount of work that we got done in drama after school and being complemented thrice by teachers.

I was called sweet for caring about my teachers’ feelings and I was congratulated on the fact that I was the only person to get one of the questions in a maths test.
